Previous Updates
**Updated - 11 May 2020** JockNess Guest Notice - Coronavirus, COVID-19
As you will be aware, the effects of COVID-19 continues to have an impact on the country as a whole with the lockdown period being extended in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Although the Government have started to alter their position on how the lockdown will effect England, Haven have advised that all of their parks will remain closed, with the earliest review date of 2nd July 2020. This means that we are still unable to open our calendars to potential booking before this date.
For any of our customers who have booked with us between now and the 2nd July, we will be in touch with you to discuss the options that are available for you.
We understand that this may not be the news that you were hoping to hear, however it is important that we take heed of the advice we have been given to remain at home.
Once the current position changes, we look forward to welcoming you to JockNess.
Full Haven Update
Following on from the Government update last night, we have had a lot of excited Haven owners on the phones today asking us if they are now allowed back on park.
As I am sure you aware, Boris Johnson urged the country (England only) to take its first tentative steps out of lockdown this week in his address to the nation. Whilst Mr Johnson has relaxed some of the rules around exercise and travelling in your car to visit the coast, we must stress that our parks are still very much closed and will remain closed until we receive Government instruction allowing us to reopen them.
As it is clear that we will be unable to offer the usual Haven experience for longer than the current closure period, we have taken the decision to extend the closure of all our parks until 2 July 2020.
**Updated - 20 March 2020** JockNess Guest Notice - Coronavirus, COVID-19
As you will have seen in the news reports this evening, the government has decided to implement a ban on pubs, clubs and restaurants opening after they close today 20th March 2020.
Based on the latest government advice, Haggerston Castle management team have taken the decision to restrict access to the park to owners only. This means that no further bookings can be accepted at this time. The latest update to owners has been posted below.
While this is not the outcome we were hoping for, we understand the that there is a need to comply with Social Distancing in order to get through the current situation.
If you have already booked your stay with JockNess, you will have already been contacted to discuss what the next steps will be. If you have a booking and you have not been contacted, please send us a message via our CONTACT US page.
Please continue to check our website for further updates on the current situation and also on when we will be able to resume taking bookings.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience that is causing.
Haven Cornavirus, COVID-19 Update
We know you have the concerns about the current coronavirus situation, and how this affects your holiday home ownership at Haven.
Our Haven parks are in coastal locations where we help owners to enjoy a breath of fresh air, and we remain confident that they are some of the safest places in the country. However, we also recognise that by welcoming holidaymakers every Friday and Monday we are encouraging large numbers of people to travel at a time when the advice is becoming increasingly clear that people should remain in one place.
We have, therefore taken the decision that we will remain open for you, our owners, to come and spend time in your holiday home, but we have also taken the incredibly difficult decision to no longer provide the holiday breaks for the period from Friday 20 March until 16 April
We realise a number of owners privately let their holiday homes. Please ensure this information is passed onto your guests who are due to stay in your holiday home during this period.
**Updated - 18 March 2020** JockNess Guest Notice - Coronavirus, COVID-19
In light of the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, we would like to clarify our position. At this time, the caravan
park remains open and you can continue to book and complete your stay at JockNess.
As you may know, the park is located in a beautiful location close to the coast, set in many acres of countryside,
providing visitors an opportunity to holiday with us and get a breath of fresh air.
However, given the most recent Government advice on Coronavirus (Covid-19), Haggerston Castle have taken the
decision to make some changes to the facilities that are available in their complexes. As such there will be no availability of the Showbars, Arcades, Restaurants or Pubs and Bars. These steps have been taken in line with Government advice on social distancing.
As far as the remaining facilities are concerned, the park plan to operate as much of the existing activities and leisure
offering as they are able to, as well as all our takeaway food outlets, in line with the most recent Government advice.
As a guest at JockNess, during this disruption, you will receive free passes due to the reduced facilities the park is
currently offering. Any guests who have already purchased passes should contact Haggerston Castle directly to receive
a full refund.
Please rest assured that our caravan is always cleaned to a high standard and we leave guests hand soap and cleaning
essentials as standard to use during their stay. Please always leave these where you found them for future guests.
What should I do if I feel unwell whilst on park?
If you become unwell and suspect it might be Coronavirus (high fever/ new persistent cough) we would kindly ask you to
take the following steps:
• Pack your belongings to return home.
• Leave the caravan key in key box.
• Please contact us to make us aware so we can take the appropriate measures.
Thank you for your understanding during this very uncertain time.
